Dr Sally Jones (Atma Sundri Kaur) is a qualified yoga teacher.

 

She is a certified both as a Kundalini yoga and Ashtanga yoga teacher. 

ASHTANGAYOGA

Sally has been practising Ashtanga yoga regularly for over twenty five years. She has practised with many leading Ashtanga yoga teachers including John Scott, David Svenson, Mike Nevitt, Dena Kingsberg, and Godrey Devereux. She did her teacher training in 2003 with Brian Cooper and Navajyoti with Union Yoga in Edinburgh. Her teacher over the last 13 years has been Eileen Gauthier (who has completed third series and studied with Triosichore Yoga Dance Theatre Company). Sally teaches the primary series and offers hands on adjustments. She will ensure students of different abilities are gently challenged in their practice and ends each class with a deep relaxation.

 

KUNDALINI YOGA

Sally is a certified Kundalini yoga teacher (level 1) with the Karam Kriya School (Shiv Charan Singh). She qualified over fifteen years ago and has undertaken further advanced training (level 2). She regularly attends her esteemed yoga teacher Shiv Charan Singh's retreat centre in Portugal to deepen and refine her spiritual practice. She teaches regular Kundalini yoga workshops.

 

OTHER

Sally taught a fun and engaging weekly yoga class at Hollybush Nursery from 2017-2020 to two to five year old children. She has also taught children's yoga at various UK festivals. 

Sally has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is a trained Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist. She has worked at various holistic centres including Skyros Centre in Greece and Omega Institute in USA. She was Director at the Skyros Centre for three consecutive years running yoga and psychotherapy workshops. She is interested in the interplay of mind, body, spirit and takes a holistic approach to understanding emotional health and chronic medical issues and physical symptoms. She is interested in the use of yoga for depression, anxiety, stress, burn-out and other emotional health issues.

Sally is also passionate about dance and combining dance, gymnastic and yoga practices.
